All clear given at 10th Street VA Hospital following bomb scare

An all clear has been given at the 10th Street VA Hospital following a bomb scare.

The bomb squad was called to investigate a suspicious package around 8 a.m. Friday.

Officials evacuated portions of the building. IndyGo buses were called to the scene to keep evacuated patients and workers warm.

An additional 1,500 patients were moved to a different part of the hospital.

All patient appointments were canceled until 12 p.m.

The area is now being investigated as a crime scene and under the Jurisdiction of the FBI due to the fact that the Hospital is a Federal Facility.
