An airport shuttle driver is lucky to be alive after a serious accident.
The accident happened near the airport on southbound I-465 around 9:30 p.m. Thursday.
Officials say the driver of an airport shuttle van from the Holiday Inn ran into the back of a Panther Expedited Services truck. The truck was stalled along southbound I-465 at the time.
The impact caused the roof of the van to rip “open like a can opener.”
The driver of the van suffered non-life threatening injuries.
Fortunately, the driver was the only occupant of the van.
