LAFAYETTE (October 18, 2013) – Police quickly arrested a man following a bank robbery Friday afternoon.

Lafayette police received reports of the robbery around 12:05 p.m. at the Regions Bank at 2237 Teal Rd. According to witnesses, the suspect—a man in a white mask and dark baseball hat—left in a gray pickup truck. They managed to get the truck’s license plane.

Police said the man never displayed a weapon. No one was hurt during the robbery; witnesses said the man walked into the bank and demanded money. He got away with some cash.

An officer traveling south on S. 18th Street noticed a truck matching that description with the same license plate number as reported by witnesses.

Kenneth M. Wetterman, 48, Lafayette, was arrested on a count of robbery and taken to the Tippecanoe County Jail.
