Thousands of people from across the world came together to comfort a man in his final days.

When California man Brian Curtis found out his father had terminal cancer, he wanted to make sure his dad knew he was loved, so he launched a viral campaign on Twitter, using the hashtag #SkyBluePink.

Curtis said that was his dad’s favorite color, the blended hues of a sunset.

People from across the globe started tweeting and sending photos of skylines, along with words of encouragements, for Curtis’ father, who was on his deathbed.

The photos were printed out and used to cover Curtis’ father’s bedroom wall so that he could see sunsets from all over the world.
