INDIANAPOLIS (Nov. 7, 2013) – Three people charged in the fatal shooting of a gas station clerk made a court appearance Thursday.

Shayne Thompson, Janai Hudson and Ryan Clark face several charges including murder, robbery, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of stolen property and resisting law enforcement.

They’re accused of shooting and killing Elvalide Ndiaye, 39, on Sept. 25. It was Ndiaye’s second day on the job at the Rickers BP gas station on West 38th Street. He’d taken a job there to save up money to visit his sick mother in Senegal.

According to police, the suspects had six cartons of cigarettes, a Slim Jim and $48 when they were arrested.

In court Thursday, the defendants requested a continuance. They’re due back in court for another hearing in December. A jury trial is scheduled for Dec. 24.
