INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (November 10, 2013) — A driver and passenger were injured early Sunday morning after a crash on the north side.

Police think the driver was drunk.

The man and 19-year-old girl were in a Ford Expedition, headed south on North Sherman Drive, when a man in a Chevy Tahoe T-boned them at the East 38th Street intersection.

But it’s the driver of the Expedition police think had been drinking.

He and his teen passenger were trapped after the crash and both had to be pulled out of the vehicle. Both were taken to the hospital — the driver in serious condition and the passenger in stable.

The driver of the Tahoe was not hurt and was checked out and released at the scene.

The intersection was briefly shut down.
