A Sheriff’s deputy is recovering after being involved in a single-vehicle crash Friday night.

Deputy Mark Holt, 47, was responding to a “shots fired” call near Norman when he lost control of his vehicle and ran off the north side of westbound S.R. 258. His car rolled several times before coming to a stop. Trooper Matt Holley, responding the same call, drove up on the crash almost immediately after it happened.

Deputy Holt was airlifted to University Hospital in Louisville, KY, suffering from fractures in his ankles and feet, as well as cuts and bruises. He is expected to make a full recovery.
