Armed bank robbery shuts down two schools Wednesday, robber still at large

PLAINFIELD, Ind. (Nov. 27, 2013)– The Plainfield Branch of the State Bank of Lizton on 2100 Stafford Rd. was robbed Wednesday, and police are still searching for the robber.

The suspect is described as a white male wearing a black mask, blue hoodie, and jeans. He brandished a black hand gun and demanded money from the teller.  After leaving the bank with an undisclosed amount of money, he headed westbound on foot.  The suspect was not located.

Two Plainfield elementary schools were placed on lock down for a short time while the search was being conducted.
