TIPPECANOE COUNTY, Ind. (Nov. 27, 2013)– The Tippecanoe School Corporation released security footage Wednesday from a middle school severely damaged after tornadoes swept through the area earlier this month.
One surveillance video showed debris flying across the gymnasium of Southwestern Middle School, which was severely damaged on Nov. 17.
More than 1,000 students and staff members were displaced.
The most powerful twister was an EF3 that roared through Tippecanoe County. Preliminary reports show that six different EF2 tornadoes hit several different Indiana counties on Nov. 17.
