Campbell Soup Co, owner of SpaghettiOs, apologized over Twitter Saturday after the company’s tweet about the anniversary of Pearl Harbor went viral.

The original tweet, accompanied by a cartoon picture of their mascot waving an American flag, read “Take a moment to remember #PearlHarbor with us.”

Twitter users quickly chimed in, calling the tweet disrespectful and insensitive. The tweet was quickly deleted, and a message of apology was sent out:
