JOHNSON COUNTY (Dec. 10, 2013) – Salt trucks and snow plows were back out Tuesday morning after snow moved back into the Hoosier State.

Drivers encountered slick roads during the morning commute thanks to icy road conditions and black ice. For several hours, snow and slush covered even main roads like U.S. 31 in Johnson County. FOX59 crews driving in the area encountered slick spots and snow-covered roads.

Snow plows were out in force trying to improve conditions, but several slide-offs and crashes were reported. Indiana State Police cautioned drivers to be careful and avoid any unnecessary travel.

Several schools were delayed or closed Tuesday (find our list right here).
