INDIANAPOLIS (Dec. 10, 2013) – As lottery jackpots swell, the lottery is giving Hoosiers the chance to play for free.

Combined, the Mega Millions and Powerball jackpots are at $466 million. Hoosier Lottery mascots will invade area malls to give away tickets.

Here’s a look at the schedule:

  • Greenwood Park Mall: 10 a.m.
  • Circle Centre Mall: 12:30 p.m.
  • Castleton Square Mall: 3 p.m.

The giveaway at each location will continue as long as supplies last. Participants must be at least 18 years old. Another giveaway is set for the Marsh store at 5624 Georgetown Rd. It starts at noon.

Tuesday’s $344 million Mega Millions jackpot is the largest since spring 2012. The jackpot can be paid over 30 years or through a one-time cash payment of about $184 million.

Also up for grabs is the estimated $122 million Powerball jackpot. Like Mega Millions, the prize can be paid over 30 years or in a one-time cash payment of about $67.9 million.

The Mega Millions drawing airs Tuesday night on FOX59 right after FOX59 News at Ten. The Powerball drawing airs Wednesday night, also on FOX59.
