INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Dec. 13, 2013)– Police say a man has been killed in a shooting on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

The shooting occurred near the intersection of East 46th St. and North Arlington Ave. at approximately 9:40 p.m. Friday night.  When officers arrived on the scene, they found an adult male lying in a yard, with at least one gunshot wound.  The victim, identified as 23-year-old Michael Boyd of Indianapolis, was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police believe a disturbance may have happened at a nearby gas station just before the shooting.  They say Boyd ran and collapsed in the yard.

An unidentified male suspect was seen leaving the area in a late model white Chevrolet Trailblazer.  The vehicle reportedly has damage on one of its rear doors.
