Robert Mathis earns another trip to the NFL Pro Bowl

INDIANAPOLIS – One of the best seasons of his career will be guarenteed to extend two games beyond the Colts’ regular season finale on Sunday.

On Friday it was announced that linebacker Robert Mathis has been selected to the 2014 Pro Bowl.

It is the sixth consecutive season that Mathis has been selected for the NFL version of an All-Star game and it comes during one of his finest seasons in Indianapolis.

He has a career-high and Colts record 17.5 sacks to go along with his 12 tackles for loss and 58 total tackles. Mathis has also forced eight fumbles this season.

Mathis also passed Dwight Freeney for career sacks with the Colts this season with 109.
