Snow helps prevent serious injury after child falls from second story

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Jan. 3, 2014)– Snow may have been what saved a 3-year-old after a being pushed by a 4-year-old from a second story window.

Officers were called to the 600 block of Eugene St. Friday on a report of an injured person.

When they arrived, a woman said that her 4-year-old son pushed her 3-year-0ld son out of a second story window. A medic on the scene saw the 3-year-old had a bump on his forehead.

Officers say that the 4-year-old was unable to completely comprehend what had just occurred.

The 3-year-old and the mother were taken to Riley Hospital so the child could be checked out further. The snow padded his fall and is believed to have helped prevent serious injury.
