A visit by a polar vortex, a large cyclone located near either of a planet’s poles, to the Hoosier land is about over…good riddance, I say! Near record lows this morning, as wind chills still remain between at -25 to -35! In fact, we were the coldest city in the lower 48 for many hours this morning! Wind chill warning remains in effect until 7 p.m.
Sunshine today should ease our temperatures upward this afternoon…not a huge warm-up but anything at or above 0° at this time sounds balmy! Here is your timeline:
Some light snow chances return tonight with a dusting in a few spots…a few more chances tomorrow and Thursday. Most accumulations through Thursday will range between 1 and 2 inches at most…not a lot but roads could remain tricky.
