INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 7, 2014)— Officials with the Indianapolis Animal Care and Control said they saw record-breaking adoptions over the weekend due to a grant that allowed them to lower adoption fees to just $10!

“We had people lined up at the front door before we opened,” said Dan Shackle, IACC Chief/Administrator. “It was a wonderful day for us and the animals in our care. We are so glad the community responded, and we hope to keep the momentum going!”

Twenty-six dogs and 10 cats were adopted Saturday, more than the shelter has seen in one day in many years.

Call 317-327-1397 for adoption information or visit the shelter at 2600 South Harding St.
