Person shot at east side ATM, police looking for suspect

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 7, 2014) – A person was shot early Friday morning at an east side ATM, Indianapolis Metropolitan police say.

It happened just before 6 a.m. near a PNC Bank in the Linwood Square Shopping Center at 4355 E. 10th St. The man was shot in the arm, police said, after withdrawing money from the ATM. The shooter took his money and ran off.

Officers were tracking footsteps in the snow in hopes of finding the shooter and brought in K-9 officers to assist. Police also plan to review surveillance footage taken during the robbery that could help identify the robber.

The victim was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in stable condition.
