It really hasn’t been that long since we saw warmer weather.

If you’re sick of the cold there is some good news on the horizon as this deep chill pattern we have been stuck in is set to change over the next week.  In fact we are expecting to see highs warmer than the average heading into next week.  Temperatures will continue to head up for the most part next week with 50s and possibly even 60s depending on where you live.

More snow possible this weekend

For today expect another chilly start with high temperatures running about 10 degrees below the average for this time of the year.  Clear sunny skies won’t be enough to push us to the freezing mark.  Officially the city is heading into its eleventh day in a row with temperatures failing to hit 32°.

Mostly clear skies will continue through Thursday with a cold front sliding in on Friday morning.  Model data tells us along this front we will see a fast moving mid-level low that will translate to snow Friday morning, possibly sticking around through Friday afternoon.  Some accumulating snow will be possible as the mid-level low slides through.

Saturday and Sunday highs will be in the mid to upper 20s with another round of snow possible on Saturday night into Sunday morning.  Warmer weather is set to arrive with the new work week.  Highs next Monday and Tuesday are expected to hit the low 40s with rain possible on Monday and rain turning over to snow possible on Tuesday.
