Man arrested for December hit-and-run

INDIANAPOLIS – Hit-and-Run detectives arrested a man Friday for a hit-and-run accident that injured an Indianapolis woman in December.

Officers have arrested 19-year-old Dylan Cutshaw of Indianapolis for the hit-and-run accident that seriously injured Cindy Urich, 47, of Indianapolis on December 21, 2013.

An arrest warrant was issued on Thursday, formally charging the suspect with the following charges: failure to stop at an accident causing serious bodily injury, obstruction of justice (both felonies) and failure to stop for an accident causing damage (misdemeanor).

Cutshaw was arrested and transported to the Arrestee Processing Center to be processed and is currently being held on a $250,000 bond.

On December 12, 2013 at approximately 6:45 p.m., IMPD officers were dispatched to the 5700 block of S. Franklin Rd. on a report that person had been struck by a hit-and-run vehicle.  Officers arrived and found a female lying on the ground suffering from several injuries.  The victim was transported by EMS crews to IU Health Methodist Hospital in serious condition.  Investigators were able to recover physical evidence from the scene that led them to identify a suspect vehicle.
