Police: Man shot girlfriend after argument at east side home

INDIANAPOLIS (Feb. 14, 2014) – A man shot his girlfriend after an argument at a home on the east side Friday morning, police say.

According to Indianapolis Metropolitan police, the shooting happened in the 1400 block of North Colorado Avenue after 6:30 a.m.

The woman was shot in the hip and is expected to survive, police said. Officers told FOX59 the shooting started as a domestic disturbance. Police arrested her boyfriend in the case. Children were in the home but were not hurt, according to police.
