INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Feb. 18, 2014) — One day after sleet, ice and snow fell on central Indiana, many main roadways fared better than their side road counterparts.

FOX59 Morning News went to check out road conditions Tuesday morning in the FOX59 Drive Cam and found the interstates and main roads, including U.S. 31, Emerson and others, to be in relatively good shape in Indianapolis.

While some icing and other trouble spots did exist on those roads, the side and neighborhood streets proved the most difficult to pass.

Monday’s precipitation combined with weeks of below-freezing temperatures and earlier snowfall to create bumpy, icy and slippery conditions in those areas.
