Indiana State Trooper struck during crash on I-65

BARTHOLOMEW COUNTY, Ind. (March 2, 2014) — Sunday afternoon an Indiana State Trooper was struck while assisting with a crash in Bartholomew County.

Around 3:45p.m., Sergeant Brian Wilson was at the scene of a crash involving a semi on Interstate 65 northbound, near the Edinburgh exit.

Master Trooper Jason Duncan arrived on scene with his emergency lights activated.

A Toyota Corolla drive by 19-year-old Karson Tays of Columbus, struck M. Tpr. Duncan’s vehicle.

The trooper was taken to Columbus Regional Hospital where he was treated for cuts and abrasions and has been released.

Tays was not injured.

No charges have been filed and the crash is still under investigation.
