Spring Mill home invasion suspect arrested on drug charges

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 17, 2014)– A woman who was charged in a string of home invasions in October has been arrested on several felony charges.

Officers arrested Amber Deckard, 25, and Chris Duerson, 28, after a traffic stop in the 2500 block of N. Sherman Dr. led to finding drugs in the car they were driving. The officer initially pulled the car over after noticing a broken tail light. The police report states that marijuana, cocaine and ecstasy were found in the vehicle.

Amber Deckard is charged with:

  • One count: dealing a schedule 1, 2 or 3 drug
  • One count: possession of cocaine
  • One count: dealing marijuana
  • One count: possession of a controlled substance
  • One count: possession of marijuana

Chris Duerson is charged with:

  • One count: dealing a schedule 1, 2 or 3 drug
  • One count: possession of cocaine
  • One count: dealing marijuana
  • One count: possession of a controlled substance
  • One count: possession of marijuana
  • One count: driving while license suspended (Misdemeanor)

As of Monday night, Deckard is still in custody with $80,000 bond.
