Events planned to help Hoosiers enroll in health care before deadline

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (March 28, 2014) — The deadline to enroll in health care under the Affordable Care Act is Monday, March 31. Officials extended the deadline to people who have begun the enrollment process but for some reason cannot complete it before Monday.

The White House reports 6 million Americans have signed up through health insurance marketplaces since October of last year.

Local health care providers are sending the message to Hoosiers to enroll now. There are events scheduled this weekend to help answer questions and navigate people through the process.

Eskenazi Hospital is holding the “Enroll Indianapolis” event Saturday, March 29 from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Free parking will be available.

Franciscan St. Francis Health has an enrollment seminar on Saturday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. through MDWise Marketplace.
