Much if the day Tuesday will be spent in a region of the large spring storm system’s “dry slot” –  a region of strong upper air wind flow.  In the dry slot air sinks and warms. As it moves east later in the day a skinny line of storms will likely develop and bring a chance of severe storms to parts of the state.
