(April 29, 2014) – A 100-year-old woman is living proof of the longevity behind regular exercise.
Elizabeth “Nan” Smith hit the century mark over the weekend, and she was honored with a special celebration at her gym where she is the oldest member.
She regularly takes part in a national fitness program for seniors called “Silver Sneakers.”
Smith says the classes help her health and balance, and she never misses a day.
Her instructor says her determination encourages many of the other seniors in the class as well.
