2 in custody after SWAT situation on east side

INDIANAPOLIS (April 29, 2014) – Police took two people into custody Tuesday morning after calling in a SWAT unit the east side.

Several Indianapolis Metropolitan police cars were seen at a building near Southeastern Avenue and South Rural Street around 6 a.m.

IMPD dispatchers told FOX59 that the situation was connected to a shooting late Monday night. In that case, a woman suffering from a gunshot wound arrived at IU Health Methodist.

Officers were serving a warrant to two people connected to that case.
