Man killed in multi-vehicle accident on south side

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (April 30, 2014)– A fatal accident involving two or three vehicles has been reported on the city’s south side.

The accident occurred at State Rd. 37 and Southport Rd. just after 2 p.m.

The victim in this accident is a white male, believed to be in his 30’s. He was pronounced dead on the scene. He was driving a silverĀ Mercedes ML430.

The driver of the box truck, 36-year-old Paul Martin, was headed northbound on State Rd. 37 and stopped at a red light. No injuries were sustained by the driver or passenger in this vehicle.

A third car, a black 2001 Mitsubishi was involved in the crash. The Mitsubishi stopped at the red light in front of the truck. The driver was uninjured in this vehicle, and the passenger was taken to Community South and is in good condition.
