INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (May 1, 2014) — Indianapolis Metropolitan police are investigating an armed robbery and assault on the south side. Officers responding to the 2900 block of Tindall St. said the victim had been beaten and forced to take off his clothes by a group of men using baseball bats.

The man was taken to Eskenazi Hospital in serious condition.

Detectives took at least two people to police headquarters for questioning, but no arrests have been made in the case. They believe at least four suspects beat the man, forced him to take off his clothes and held him down while using the baseball bats.

The man went to a neighbor’s home to get help. The neighbor called 911 after waking up to the victim knocking on her door.

It’s unclear what was stolen from the victim’s home.
