Accident shuts down I-70 in Hendricks County

HENDRICKS COUNTY, Ind. (May 19, 2014)– An accident has shut down Interstate 70 in Hendricks County Monday night.

Indiana State Police say that a semi hit a guardrail near the State Road 267 exit and caught fire.  They say there are possible injuries are reported as a result of the accident, but they have no details on the nature of the injuries.

I-70 was shut down in both directions.  It now appears that the eastbound lanes are open again, but traffic is slow.
