Indianapolis police officer arrested, accused of DUI

HANCOCK COUNTY (May 20, 2014) – An Indianapolis Metropolitan police officer was arrested and preliminarily charged with DUI after a traffic stop near New Palestine Sunday night.

According to New Palestine police, Edward Zehner was pulled over near 450 West and 300 South around 11:30 p.m. Sunday after an officer noticed him drive over the center line.

He was preliminarily charged with DUI. Police said his blood alcohol content tested at 0.16, twice the state’s legal limit.

Zehner was taken to the Hancock County Jail.
