(May 23, 2014) – A special reunion 18 years in the making!

An Indiana man saved a baby girl left abandoned at an Illinois cemetery 18 years ago.

And recently, the man had the chance to meet the child he saved!

Charlie Heflin found Skyler back in 1995 with the umbilical cord still attached and clinging to life in the subzero temperatures.

The baby girl was adopted five days later.

Skyler’s mom searched for years to find her daughter’s hero, and she finally found him on Facebook. She invited him to Skyler’s high school graduation, and the 18-year-old had no idea he would be there.

Finally, at a party after the teen’s graduation, she met the man who rescued her 18 years ago.
