Martin County man stabs son to death after argument

MARTIN COUNTY, Ind. (June 9, 2014) – A Martin County man stabbed his son to death after an argument.

trailerThe incident happened at 9:55 Sunday night on Doane Lane in Shoals.

Martin County Dispatch received a 911 call from John Bruce Tow, 60, (pictured above) informing the dispatch operator that his son, Jonathan Tow, 32, Shoals, was bleeding to death.

Indiana State Troopers and Martin County Deputies arrived at the residence  moments later to find Jonathan Tow lying outside the doorway of the trailer with a knife wound to his neck.

EMS and medical first responders attempted to save him, but he died at the scene.

John Bruce Tow was transported to the Martin County Jail, where he has been held on preliminary charges of Criminal Recklessness with a Deadly Weapon.

Investigation by Indiana State Police detectives and crime scene technicians continues and is ongoing.
