Skies will be mostly cloudy for the rest of the evening hours and temperatures remain mild. We’ll drop from the mid 70s around 6 PM to the low 70s by 10 PM. You can’t rule out some isolated showers this evening but those would be few and far between.
Expect cloudy conditions overnight with mild temperatures and winds from the east at 5 to 10 mph. Rain shouldn’t arrive until after 4 AM .
Rain showers are likely throughout the Tuesday forecast with embedded scattered thunderstorms. An area of low pressure will be moving through the Ohio Valley and that brings in periods of soaking rains. Rain will begin early Tuesday morning in the southern part of the sate before the sun even rises. That area of showers will lift to the north throughout the morning hours. This will mean a soggy drive to work for many of us. This morning activity will be followed by more waves of showers and thunderstorms during Tuesday afternoon and evening. We are not expecting severe weather but we could see heavy rainfall during the day.
Showers continue again on Wednesday as that same area of low pressure continues to move slowly through the Ohio Valley. We’ll see the best chance for rain in the morning and afternoon hours with rain tapering off later that evening.
You can’t rule out some spotty showers and storms on Thursday too. Temperatures will remain a bit below normal for a few days with the rainy weather before the summer heat returns.
