Semi driver killed on I-70 suffers medical issue before crashing

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 10, 2014)—A 62-year-old man was killed Tuesday morning after police said he suffered a medical issue prior to crashing his semi into a guardrail.

Ricky Moon, of Michigan, was traveling westbound on I-70 when he began to slow down and drive off the roadway, striking a guardrail before coming to rest.

Officers responded to the scene around 10:25 a.m. and found Moon unresponsive. He was transported to Eskenazi Hospital, where he was pronounced deceased.

Police said the semi sustained minor damage and was driven away from the scene.
