INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (June 14, 2014) — Indianapolis Metro police have arrested a man they believe was on the run after a shootout with police on Saturday morning.

Police arrested 21 year-old Jordan Anderson of Indianapolis, on preliminary charges of attempted murder and pointing a firearm.

He is accused of shooting at officers at an apartment complex early Saturday morning on the east side.

It began when someone called cops after seeing a man snooping in parked car windows at the Lexington Park Apartments near 38th Street and Post Road. When police arrived, the suspect ran and began shooting at officers.

One officer returned fire. They don’t believe anyone was hit.

Police set up a perimeter in the area and K9 units tracked the suspect’s trail to a nearby creek, but didn’t immediately find him.
