VOTE | Help name Fishers’ new park; second round of voting open

FISHERS, Ind. (June 16, 2014)— Officials with the Town of Fishers is asking residents to help name a new destination park that is expected to open this fall.

Officials broke ground on the 60-acre park, which is located at 101 Street and Cyntheanne Road, on April 22. The new park will include mountain bike trails, a sledding hill, fishing pond, three houses and 59 acres of green space.

Residents were encouraged to submit their suggestions for the park’s name, and now the list has been narrowed down to five possibilities:

  • Flatfork Ridge
  • The Peak at Flatfork Creek
  • Flatfork Creek Recreation Park
  • Tahkwii Park (Delaware Indian for “Together”)
  • The Grounds at 101st
