Indianapolis, Ind (July 20, 2014) — The Indianapolis Fire Department was called to the Hog Wash Car Wash in the 3500 block of Shelby Street Sunday afternoon.

Fire crews say a woman who had borrowed a truck to haul mulch had pulled the truck into a self-washing bay and while she was putting money into the machine, she noticed flames coming from the engine compartment.

She and another customer tried to put the flames out with buckets of water but were unsuccessful.

The flames got out of control and they evacuated the area.

No injuries were reported, but damage is estimated at $300,000.
