INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (July 20, 2014) — Three men showed up at Methodist Hospital with gunshot wounds early Sunday morning. One had been hit four times.

Police believe shots may have been fired during a running gun battle on the near north side around  3 a.m.

Police say a homeowner near Washington Boulevard and 33rd Street heard gunfire, looked outside and saw that his parked car had been hit, and two other cars were screeching away from the scene.

Police recovered shell casings in the area. They believe the three men who showed up at Methodist were in one of those cars. A gray vehicle with damage was towed away from the hospital parking lot.

At last check, the three men were awake and breathing, but there was no further word on condition.
