Showers and thunderstorms continue to impact central Indiana this evening and this wave of storms will push east of our state by 1 AM. The storms have stayed below severe criteria for the most part of the risk of severe weather has dropped quite a bit.

These storms have proven to bring in very heavy rain, intense lightning and some gusty winds, so you still have to take them seriously. Below is a LIVE BLOG detailing the latest information on these storms from the Weather Authority Team.

The SPC has dropped the “Moderate Risk” area from the map for today.  All of Indiana is still under a slight risk, which is highlighted in yellow on the map.  The storms that have developed in Illinois are not as robust as the models depicted, so the moderate risk was not warranted anymore.  But, do not let your guard down. There is still a lot of energy in the atmosphere today and this could very easily still result in severe weather here in central Indiana in the coming hours.
