Police seek man accused of stealing car, credit card during Indy 500 weekend
SPEEDWAY (July 29, 2014) – Speedway police are appealing for help after someone stole a car and credit card during Indianapolis 500 weekend.
Police said the car was parked in the Coke Lot when it was stolen. Hours later, surveillance cameras captured images of a man using the victim’s credit card at a gas station in Lawrence.
The suspect wore an Atlanta Braves baseball hat, short sleeve checkered shirt open with a white t-shirt underneath and a large silver chain with a silver cross.
Crime Stoppers is offering a $1,000 reward for information leading to a felony arrest. Tips must be submitted anonymously and directly to Crime Stoppers to be eligible for this cash reward.
