Police: Man sold cocaine out of Delaware Co. BBQ food truck

DELAWARE COUNTY, Ind. (August 20, 2014) – A drug raid at a Delaware County food truck led to the arrest of one man Tuesday.

According to the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office, Muncie resident David Bond Jr. was selling cocaine at Bondini’s Knock Out BBQ which is located near the intersection of Madison and 6th streets in Muncie.

The owners of the stand are David Bond Jr. and Melissa Bond.

The investigation involved David Bond Jr. selling cocaine out of the BBQ stand and placing the cocaine in bags which looked like food being delivered to customers.

Over the past few weeks the Delaware County Sheriff’s Office Drug Unit has made numerous controlled purchases of crack cocaine from David Bond from his BBQ stand and his residence located at 1700 S. Mulberry in Muncie.

David Bond Jr. was located at the stand and was outside grilling upon units arriving. He was taken into custody without incident.

Melissa Bond was also questioned however she was not detained.

The BBQ stand was towed from the property and secured pending further investigation.

Both Melissa and David were transported to their residence, 1700 S. Mulberry where the second warrant was executed.

U.S. currency was located at the stand on Madison Street along with field tested cocaine.

David was transported to the Delaware County Jail and arrested on three counts of dealing cocaine.

Melissa was interviewed and released.
