REFRESHING CHANGE

It’s brief so I hope you are enjoying this.  Early morning temperatures dipped to the coolest in a week, 66° city with 62° Marion, New Castle, Tipton .  Coolest in central Indiana, 61° Crawfordsville and Hartford City.

It was the mildest afternoon here in 10 days but most important, the drop in humidity – no 70° dew point this afternoon and that is what makes it feel more comfortable!

WARM FRONT COMING

The cold front passed last night – it will be back a warm front soon.  The heat has temporarily pulled back and looms just to our south.  A huge statewide temperature spread set up Thursday with 70s north to 90s south.  We tap into the heat as we open the long holiday weekend.

2 90° days officially so far for the city this summer and we may add to the total in the days ahead.  Temperatures and humidity will rise with the passage of the warm Front starting Friday.

STORM CHANCES

There will be a daily threat of scattered thunderstorms.  The chance of rain will increase each of the next 3 days, peaking with highest areal coverage Sunday.  Even with storms forecast Sunday and Monday there will be many rain-free and dry hours each day this holiday weekend.  Coverage on the rain is expected to peak Sunday at just shy of 60% Sunday.
