INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. (Sept. 1, 2014) – Police have confirmed that two individuals have been arrested following a shooting that injured an 11-year-old boy.

IMPD confirms Anthony Baxter and Zachary Lillard were arrested on Monday in connection with the Sunday incident that occurred on South Chester Street.

According to a resident of the home, he heard an altercation in the neighborhood.  “I heard a little yelling ruckus going on out here in the alley through the screens and a car sped away,” said the resident. “I went on about what I was doing and then just a short time later I hear the ‘tat tat’ and then my 11-year-old screamed.”

His son was playing video games in the family’s living room when he was shot.  The boy was slightly injured and transported to the hospital with a wound to the back.

Police say Baxter and Lillard are also facing charges in connection with another incident that happened earlier on Sunday morning in which a female was assaulted with a brick.
