Deli meat and cheese company coming to New Castle, will create 200 jobs

NEW CASTLE (Sept. 5, 2014) – A Florida-based meat provider will put a new product manufacturing and research facility in New Castle, creating more than 200 jobs over the next few years.

Boar’s Head Brand provides premium deli meats and cheeses. The new facility will go on 66 acres of land on the south side of County Road 400 S and is expected to be operational by spring 2016. The company will produce turkey, ham and chicken products.

The Indiana Economic Development Corporation offered up to $2.2 million in conditional tax credits and $115,000 in training grants based on the company’s job creation plans. Henry County is considering additional tax abatement.
