HANCOCK COUNTY (Sept. 5, 2014) – A former Hancock County sheriff’s deputy has died after crashing in New Palestine over the weekend.

Jason Brabury, 41, crashed into a building near U.S. 52 and Hancock County Road 500 West, according to our media partners at the Indianapolis Star.

The crash happened Saturday but Bradbury died Thursday. His father, Jim Bradbury, is a former Hancock County sheriff.

Bradbury, who retired from the sheriff’s department in recent years, suffered from medical issues that may have contributed to the crash.
