INDIANAPOLIS (Sept. 8, 2014) – When Chick-fil-A opens its newest Indianapolis location this week, you could win a year’s worth of free food.

That’s the promotion being offered by the fast-food chain as it prepares to open a new location at 6231 N. Keystone Ave. on Thursday, Sept. 11. The first 100 people lined up when doors open at 6:30 a.m. Thursday will win Chick-fil-A for a year. Winners have to be 18 years or older and have a valid ID.

Dozens hoping to score the deal were already lined up on Wednesday morning. The store said 150 people from seven states were trying to claim a spot in line; some of them had tents and planned to camp out. The line was officially scheduled to open at 6 a.m. If more than 100 people are in line, all 100 spots will be determined by a drawing. The company posted the complete rules here.

The restaurant will bring more than 75 new jobs, the company said. It’s one of 93 new restaurants set to open in 2014. There are 15 locations in the Indianapolis metropolitan area.

In addition to the opening celebration on Thursday, the restaurant will collect unused children’s books on Sept. 10 from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. The books will go to the Boys & Girls Club of Indianapolis.
