Even cooler air coming, strong warm up in the forecast

Remember one week ago when we were suffering through 100°+ heat indices?  For the second day in a row it once again felt like late October.   The city  only reached 64° - the normal for October 19th.

LIGHT RAIN LATE
Clouds are holding on - showers are possible late night as a new cold front sweeps the state before sunrise Saturday. Only a few showers are possible mainly north and likely after 12 AM.  These showers are not long-lived, departing before sunrise Saturday.

Sunshine is coming but with it more cool air.  Early morning lows are expected in the upper 40s Saturday but an even colder morning is coming Sunday.  With clear skies and lighter winds, it is possible a few locations away from the city reach the upper 30s!

IS SUMMER OVER? - WARMER DAYS COMING
Yes it is still summer officially for another week and half and a warm up is coming. Normal high is 79° now and we will crack the 70 degree mark starting middle of next week with warming through next weekend.  Looking out beyond the 7 day forecast a strong warm up is coming with high temperatures returning to the 80s by next weekend.
