Man arrested after ‘butt dialing’ 911, talking about drug deal

MT. PLEASANT, Tenn. (Sept. 12, 2104) – He accidentally dialed 911…and then talked about a drug deal.

And that, police say, landed a Tennessee man in jail.

According to News 2/WKRN-TV, Grant O’Connor, 25, “butt dialed” 911 dispatchers Friday night. The call was traced to a Mexican restaurant where he was having dinner with a female friend.

During the 911 call, police said O’Connor talked about getting high and going to a drug dealer’s house, the TV station reported.

Police arrived at the restaurant and pulled over the car O’Connor was riding in. They found a bag of marijuana and drug paraphernalia under the passenger’s seat.

He was charged with possession and possession of drug paraphernalia and was booked into the Maury County Jail.

Police said O’Connor had no idea about the accidental phone call until officers told him about it.
